Meet our squad

Since its start in 2003, the association has had a strong and dedicated squad who have always been a well-known name within the competition circuit.  We always ensure that our squad is working to the best of its ability by keeping them competing in not only local and national competitions but international and overseas competitions. This has therefore meant we have been a squad who has produced and trained countless European and World medallists and champions. 

Competition Policy & Procedure

Introduction Children (U18) and Adults at Risk have a right to enjoy attending Karate competitions.

Competition organisers have a responsibility to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the environment is as safe as possible.

This policy is, outlines the measures EKK adopts when attending Karate Competitions.

Where possible a competitor liaison officer is appointed on the day by the Association CPO to ensure the safeguarding and well being of competitors and Coaches attending the competition. 

  • Competition meet time and place is communicated prior to the event so that Parents and competitors are aware where to arrive on the morning of the event

  • All competitors must arrive in full EKK tracksuits

  • Competitors enter the competition venue together as a group

  • Competitors are sent to changing rooms to get ready together, and enter the event hall together as a group at all times

  • Parents are requested sit together in the venue to ensure that a team club presence is maintained at all times

  • All competitors are to stay till the end of the competition unless agreed with the coach

  • All competitors and Coaches are monitored to ensure sporting attitude is applied at all times.
