It is my privilege to welcome you to the England Karate Kan (Association) website.
I would like to provide some information on the history of the Association, the structure of the Association and the role of the Association within your karate career.
A journey of a thousand miles starts with the initial step:
England Karate Kan was established in 2003 and has grown from strength to strength with the help of committed instructors and students. Having produced many Dan grades within the traditional side of karate, England Karate Kan is also proud of its many regional, national and international medallists. With the correct balance of both sport and traditional elements, and a unique relationship between the instructors and coaches, England Karate Kan’s students will continue to benefit from the work of the senior grades in the Association.
From willpower grows success.
Our friendly Association and professional instructors will work tirelessly together to ensure that you are successfully guided through your own karate career, all the way to black belt and beyond. I wish you every success in your respective karate careers, whether traditional or sport based. With a good attitude towards the senior grades, instructors and fellow karate-ka, as well as determination, perseverance and loyalty, karate excellence can be achieved.
I believe that karate is a way of life; an art worked at forever, requiring continuous practice, assessment and hard work. Adopting this attitude in the dojo, respecting the dojo and the help offered from the Association, will ensure not only karate success, but moreover a successful development of character will ensue, which is to be carried beyond the dojo. This attitude forms the cornerstone of England Karate Kan.
