Last Sunday was dedicated to the Association’s monthly grading for those up to 4^th kyu (blue belt). Seniors and juniors were present at the grading, which had over eighty karate-ka in attendance. The grading lasted several hours and tested the mental and physical endurance of all.

Patrolling the lines were Sensei’s Michael, Dan, Paul, Claire, Philippe and Chris. With a mix of basic kihon and spot techniques, fighting work and fitness tests, followed by combinations, and kata, the graders will have to wait until next week for the results to see if their hard work paid off.

The seniors congratulate those who graded from the various Association clubs for their effort and good work. Sensei Enzo said, ‘It was great to see different clubs getting together to acheive one thing , their grading.

A big well done to all the instructors for working hard and prepare their students to a good standard.
